What do you do for a living?: Michael is a mechanical Engineer working to keep up with Austin's ever-growing electrical needs. Georgia is a labor and delivery nurse, working to bring the tiniest humans into the world.

What inspired you whilst planning your wedding?: We were inspired to bring in a lot of details that paid tribute to our loved ones’ traditions, their unique influences on our lives, and their own wedding day details. Almost everything, from our wedding date (the day after Georgia’s parents wedding anniversary), to our get away car (the 1969 convertible of our Grandparents who have been married more than 60 Years), to our seating arrangements (bride and groom seated at head table with immediate family), was planned to honor and celebrate all the people who have been our examples in life, love, and marriage.

Did you have any DIY (aka Do it Yourself) details? If so, please share more about them below.: We ordered bulk flowers and arranged them Friday night after the rehearsal dinner. Many of our bridal party members and closest friends set down their drinks (for very short intervals), rolled up their sleeves, and listened as Georgia gave step by step floral arrangement lessons. The girls were a huge help, and we have never seen so many men get excited about boutonnieres or spray roses. We had so much fun and will always remember that crazy night.

What would you say are some of your favorite wedding day memories?: Our favorite wedding day memory was getting to kneel at the alter and experience the consecration of the Eucharist side by side as husband and wife for the first time. That moment highlighted the solemnity of the sacrament we were celebrating, as well as the joy that sacrificial love (for Christ, and for one’s spouse) brings.

Did any of your other vendors go above and beyond for you?: Our ceremony musicians, Jonathan and Stephen Kocmoud and Rachel Cox went above and beyond to make choosing music easy, offer great improvements to our suggestions, and play incredibly beautiful music!
